The Judges for the show will be announced next week.
The public and the jury vote on best of Show. So come in and vote for the piece you feel is the best piece in the show.
In addition, a piece from this show will be purchased to begin a permanent collection of local art at the Courthouse Gallery. The selected artwork does not necessarily have to be theme oriented. All pieces in the show are eligible. Our sponsors make this purchase possible.
We want to see what all the people in our community see when it is “Winter in the Nicola Valley.” Don’t be shy, share what you can create.
To show in the 5th Annual Community Arts Show, you don’t need to follow the theme. If you have other themed artwork that you’d like to show, then bring it in. If you sculpt, weave, knit, crocheted, do needlepoint, carve, turn wood, paint, or draw, we would like to see your work. If you are 5 or 85 and have a knack for art, we would like to see it in the show.
There will be a reception from 6-8pm on February 18th at which time, the results of the jury will be read. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the show.
Hours for the Courthouse Gallery are Thursday 4-8pm. Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Kathi at 250-378-6515 or email her at klassicalart7@hotmail.com
